Having had to put my writing aside for several years to manage challenges in my personal and professional life, I am thrilled to announce that Evernight will be publishing The Scent of Memory later this year. The Scent of Memory is Book 2 in my science fiction romance series Green Rising. Book 1, Race to Redemption, won several on-line awards.

I am waiting patiently (NOT) for the cover design. That’s always such an exciting moment for an author – to see the essence of their work captured in an image.

While we are waiting, I’m happy to share the blurb for the Scent of Memory.

Twelve years ago, Marisol lost Aren. Now he’s back – pointing a gun at her head and treating her like a stranger.

Rebel hacker, Marisol Martinez, never thought volunteering to keep the hospital safe from cyborgs would lead her back to the man sabotage ripped from her arms. The man she swore to avenge by any means possible.

For over a decade, Cap protected the cyborgs under his command from every danger. Until he meets an insurgent, whose scent wreaks havoc on his control. She calls him Aren and insists she knows him. But she’s wrong. He has no past, no present, no future – only orders he’s programmed to complete.

Forced together, Marisol and Cap can’t resist the passion that keeps building between them.  With time running out, Marisol must use her computer skills to restore Aren’s memories or Cap will kill all subversives on the planet – starting with her.

If you want to get to know the world of Green Rising before the Scent of Memory releases, and get a first glimpse of Marisol and Cap, then check out Race to Redemption.

Intergalactic storm racing champion, Elaina Carteret, left the circuit in disgrace after a horrendous accident. Willing to deal with the devil, aka her business manager, she accepts a challenge for one last chance to fly again. The deal seemed easy – pose as Lainie Carter, medical transport pilot, and spy on a hospital outpost. Until she meets the director, Dr. Erik Johansen, who runs the station with an iron hand, a permanent scowl and the tightest bod on the planet.

Erik keeps his emotions and laboratories locked up tight. He once trusted a woman who turned out to be a spy—and millions died. When the sizzling hot Lainie Carter sashay’s into his office with her endless legs, pouty mouth and penchant for sneaking into forbidden areas, he knows she’s dangerous. If only she would stop sneaking into his fantasies.

When the outpost is attacked by mercenaries, the Diva and Dr. Dictator are thrown together in a race across the desert to save two dying children. As a fragile trust grows between their damaged hearts, will it be strong enough to survive the truths that threaten their growing bond?
