Thank you for all who visited on last week’s Long and Short Reviews Wednesday Weekly Blog Challenge. This week’s topic is what we would do if we won a big jackpot.
Easy peasy lemon squeezy. If I won a jackpot, I would not have a 9-5 job I would continue to write and work, but I could walk way from the grind of it, and design it in a stress free way. Most importantly, I would not have to use an alarm clock. I could set my own rhythms and patterns. That’s all I want – enough economic security to work the way I want to, according to the rhythms I want to set.
What about you?

An early retirement sounds nice. Wish I could have done that at an earlier age when I had more energy.
I wish I could retire early. Not in the cards. My daughter starts college in the fall. 🙂
That sounds marvellous!

I know, right.
I’ve never understood the folks who win a huge jackpot, and keep working… LOL. I like your idea better!
Thanks. I like to stay involved, and do things. Its not the work, its the day to day grind that gets me down.
Love your idea! Especially setting the alarm clock. I am not an early bird by nature at all!
To me, a vacation is any day where I don’t have to set an alarm.
My issue with winning the lottery is I never play it! I taught stats for years and used the lottery in my examples of probability, like how you are more likely to be hit by lightning 3 times in your life before winning the lottery.
Still. Nice to dream right!

I don’t play the lottery either for the same reason. But it is definitely nice to dream.
That was almost exactly my answer! Yes, absolutely, I would love to be able to set my own schedule and focus on the things that are important to me.
It isn’t about the money, its being able to set my own timetables, and organize the flow of my life.
I like how you think. Smart ideas.
