I love maps.  I love my GPS too, but maps own a special place in my heart. You can leave me anywhere, as long as I have a map in hand, I can find my way.

There’s an obsessive downside to that–I need to  know where I am.  When I’m a tourist or in a new place, I always have a map in pocket (and on my phone) and tend to check it every few blocks. Just to make sure.  In Bulgaria’s capital Sofia, I studied my city map so hard I was able to match the Cyrillic letters on the map to the street signs.  Even though I couldn’t actually read the writing, I used the map just fine.

For my next book, Unnatural Allies, my protagonists are on a mission, and had to find their way. So of course, I needed a map to help them get around. I decided to get the map designed (big thanks to MistyBeee for an awesome job). It will be included in the book when it launches.  But I so love it, I just had to share it.
