Welcome to Marketing for Romance Authors 52 week blog hop challenge. Each week, a lovely group of romance authors blog on a common theme. Visit them all here.
The theme this week is the most beautiful place I’ve been. There have been many but one sticks in my heart. I was young, backpacking through Europe, sleeping on trains with my Euro pass in my pocket and my passport hidden in my shoe. On one beautiful spring day, I woke up on a train as it pulled into Venice. I walked out of the station to see the sun rising over the Grand Canal. That scene remains in my mind as visual perfection.
Take a look. What do you think?

Wonderful pictures! Another place I’d love to visit one o these days!
I want to go back, myself.
Gorgeous photos!
Thanks, Alina.
Gorgeous pictures and what a sight to wake up to. My daughter went to Venice and she said it was a beautiful city.
Yes, its also a site to go to sleep to as well. It never get old.
Wow! What a beautiful post about a beautiful place. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks to istock. I went so many years ago, I don’t have on-line photos from the event.
Perusing this post, it’s obvious why you chose Venice.
I thought about Paris or Tikalt, but my heart always returns to Venice.
I agree, Venice is beautiful no matter what time of day (or night). I thought it was fascinating. A sunrise like the one in your photo would really be awesome to see!
It remains one of my favorite memories.
Amazing!
It really is beautiful.
Wow! That IS beautiful. I’d like to say Paris was the most beautiful place I’ve been, but it didn’t impress me all that much. I prefer Charleston, South Carolina any day. I think that makes me uncultured!
I think beauty strikes us most dramatically perhaps when we are not expecting it. Thanks for dropping by.
