What a Ride! #MFRWauthor #amwriting

Welcome to Marketing for Romance Authors 52 week blog hop challenge.  Each week, a lovely group of romance authors blog on a common theme. Visit them all here.  My apologies for being absent for so long.  Sometimes life just takes over and choices have to be made. I'm back now, and looking forward to re-engaging.

The theme this week is favorite book quotes.  I have several that top my list that all come from Hunter Thompson, The Proud Highway: Saga of a Desperate Southern Gentleman, 1955-1967

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!

“Life just seems too huge and too fascinating for me to begin thinking about curing my restlessness at this stage of the game. Maybe later.”

Every reaction is a learning process; every significant experience alters your perspective.

Of these quotes, which one appeals you to the most and why?

Thanks for dropping by.

  1. I had no idea the "Life should not be a journey" quote was from Hunter S Thompson! I've seen it on a Maxine cartoon meme and foolishly thought it came from there. Thanks for setting me straight!

That happens with a lot of quotes. So many are also mis-cited.
  2. I particularly like the thought about life being too huge and fascinating.

That quote gives me hope, no matter how old I am feeling.
  3. I like the first quote the best, but I love that picture with the elephant!

I agree, the first is my favorite quote.
  4. Great quotes. I've not read the series. I think the last quote stood out to me the most. We are a sum of our experiences I believe.

Yes, we are and we are also more than that, which is fascinating to think about.
