Happy sunday and its time for SexySnippets, where authors share 7-8 lines/sentences of a book or work in progress.  My sexy new science fiction romance, Race to Redemption, releases in December from Evernight Publishing. Its book one of the series Green
Rising. So I’m going to be introducing my characters ver the next month, in anticipation.  Last week, we, met Elaina, our heroine.  This week, we meet the hero. Erik Johansen is a medical facility director and scientist running a lab and clinic in the middle of the desert on the planet of Ranhar.  In this scene,  Erik is talking with his friend and colleague who is worried about Erik’s increasingly erratic and non-stop work habits.

“I’m okay, old friend.”  His protest sounded dull and unconvincing to his own ears. 

“We need you, Erik. We’re closer than we’ve ever been and you’re key to Ranhar.”

Yes, but with every victory, redemption never came. Each day was harder to keep going than the one before, to keep believing that all their work in the shadows, their behind-the-scene sacrifices could wipe his slate clean.
