Welcome to Marketing for Romance Authors 52 week blog hop challenge.  Each week, a lovely group of romance authors blog on a common theme. Visit them all here.

I love my pets.  Meet my dog, Legacy.  She’s a mutt, rescued from the shelter as a puppy.  They named her Legacy in the shelter, one of a litter brought to the Washington, DC region from New Orleans.  Legacy is apparently a Nola thing, although I’m still trying to figure out what that is.  Her litter mates carried names like Kingcake and Saint, more traditionally Nola. Legacy is all energy and love. I never understand terms  I attention hound and lap dog, until Legacy entered my life.

Legacy shares our home with Dinks, a big, fat, old orange cat with attitude. He’s old 12 and a half.  We met him when my daughter was two, and we were playing outside in the front yard when this tiny puffball came bounding over to us. Turns out he was looking for a home and we were smitten.  We took him in, my daughter named him, and we’ve been learning to live with him ever since.

The pets are important parts of our lives. My daughter put together a terrific meme in homage to our pets that I just have to share.
