Getting Me Out of Bed in the Morning #MFRWauthor #amwriting

Welcome to Marketing for Romance Authors 52 week blog hop challenge.  Each week, a lovely group of romance authors blog on a common theme. Visit them all here.

The theme this week is someone who inspires us. My gut reaction is to choose a hero/heroine, some super bigger than life person or role model who I can look up to and learn from. I'm going take a different direction. Because life can be damned hard, and sometimes, we just need someone, whose simple presence is the reason to get out of bed in the morning.

That person is my daughter. For her I make better choices, because I want to be there for her.  For her, I get out of bed in the morning, when I just want to roll over and stay huddled underneath the blanket, wanting the world to go away.  Maybe, that's the real inspiration we need, someone for whom being better matters. Not an abstract ideal, that we build stories around.

  1. Very true Shari. You do come across people that make you want to be a better version of yourself.

Yes, I just wish there were more of them.
  2. Hilarious juxtaposition of the superhero pic followed by children in costumes. It illustrates your point perfectly.

Thanks, Ed. I loved the visuals myself.
